ILSD

On the initiative of the National Lightning Safety Council and under the aegis of the World Meteorological Organization, the International Lightning Safety Day (ILSD) is the only international meeting of actors working to raise the awareness of citizens and public authorities to the challenges represented by lightning.

Officially proclaimed on 28 June, the 2021 edition is organised by France. It will mark the 10th anniversary of the tragic event where 18 students from a Ugandan school in Runyanya died after their school was struck by lightning.

During this 1.5 hour webinar, these specialists and activists will have the opportunity to highlight their actions to raise awareness of the risk of storms.
Météorage, partner of the APFoudre, is pleased to be associated with this event and to contribute to its organisation.
